Burns to practice in a city like Hammond and to relocate his family to Louisiana was exactly what Dr Burns was looking for. Moving to Louisiana has been a goal of the family for some time. They have two beautiful children a daughter, Jenee and a son, Jackson. Burns has been married to his loving wife, Angele for 16 years. He is genuinely interested in the health of his patients and ready to be an active member in his community. Burns has been recognized for his willingness to give back. Burns focused on developing his laparoscopic skills as well as acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to perform robotic surgeries. During his seven years of service with this organization, Dr. Burns’ desires to broaden his talents, led him to accept an opportunity to join the Carle Physician Group in the Urbana-Danville area of East Central Illinois. Burns returned to his hometown located in Saint Louis’ Metro East, IL area to practice medicine for eleven years. Burns became an OB/GYN resident physician at North Oakland Medical Centers in Pontiac, IL. Burns earn his doctorate in medicine from the University of Illinois’ College of Medicine. His achievements afforded him the opportunity to attend Duke University where he received an undergraduate degree in history and prepared to attend medical school. By the time he was twelve, he was researching at the local library how he was going to make his career goals come true. Burns knew he wanted to become a doctor at an early age. When asked her favorite place to travel she said, "I’m a big Disney geek." She has 2 cats and 4 nephews, but no kids of her own.ĭr. She also enjoys cooking and loves to travel. Goodridge loves the food, music and the joie de vivre. Like most people who move to Louisiana, Dr. Goodridge agrees that if you love Louisiana, Louisiana will love you back. There were only a few programs left in the country like Charity in 2000 and the opportunity to learn her craft in that environment was something she could not turn down. She came to Louisiana to do her residency because of the excellent training and exposure she would get working at Charity Hospital. She also likes the fact that OB-Gyn gives you a chance to treat from primary care to surgery. She likes the ability to really connect with the patients and get to care for them throughout different stages of their life. Goodridge left the private practice and has been working as a Hospitalist throughout Louisiana. Mabry is a licensed minister and Director of the Health and Healing Ministry at Beacon Light Baptist Church of Hammond, LA, a member of the Baton Rouge Chapter of Jack and Jill, Inc. Mabry has served as a member of Covington Citizen's Review Panel a division of Social Services, board member of the Louisiana Maternal / United Coalition, board member of Southeast Spousal Abuse, chairperson for World AIDS Day Awareness on SLU Campus and motivational speaker for several local civic organizations. Mabry to volunteer her time to improve the quality of life of children across the globe. This life-changing experience inspired Dr. Mabry traveled with "Save Africa's Children" Outreach Ministries to Lusaka, Zambia in 2005, and assisted existing organizations working with HIV positive children and families throughout Zambia. Mabry served as Department head for the Blood and Procedures Committee, a member of Louisiana State Medical Society and Chairperson of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department for the North Oaks Medical System in Hammond, LA. Mabry then completed her residency at University Hospital and the Medical Center of Louisiana in New Orleans with the LSU School of Medicine in 1998, and received her Board Certification in 2000. She completed her medical training at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1994. Mabry received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1990.
